Welcome to the online home of Dimara Lhasa Apso

We are highly respected breeders throughout the dog world and all of our breeding stock are DNA checked, PRA tested and we have gained all three accolades from the KC. Being members of the Kennel Club Accredited Breeders Scheme also shows our dedication to the health of the breed. After a break seven years ago, we are now completely bitten by the show bug and are breeding some lovely stock which is being appreciated in the rings for their beauty and superb temperaments.

We have had the pleasure of not only breeding some exquisite examples of the breed, but have owned and loved some beautiful dogs from other kennels. They have shared many major awards with us and currently have upcoming star Rictovias Ameriken Boy at Dimara.
My Husband is actively involved on the Northern Lhasa Apso Committee and both of us are currently starting our judging career and are enjoying it very much. Well that’s a little about us and trust that you will enjoy your visit and keep checking back for updates on the Dimara clan.

Our interest in dogs happened approximately 24 years ago when we started with German Shepherd Dogs. We showed that breed for a while but for obvious reasons our children could not be as involved as we would have liked, so we got a little dog; namely a Lhasa Apso. Because of the charming characters of this breed, it wasn’t long that the Lhasa’s moved in and the Shepherds reduced. This breed has certainly captured our hearts and over the years have had immense success with our dogs. We began showing when we purchased our first Lhasa from a breeder who was very knowledgeable and had lovely temperamented dogs which was, and still is our Number 1 priority.

We have made up 4 English Champions, 1 Australian and 1 Finnish Champion. We have had numerous Junior Warrants (JW), Top Brood Bitch 2001 and Best Puppy in Breed awards. Many of our dogs have also received RCC’s and some of our young girls currently have them too.
